Seeing as CCE pretty much takes up the the majority of time when it comes to backing up DVDs, i was hoping to make another PC that would just be used to back up DVDs without the bells and whistles needed for a regular use PC (i.e. good graphics card, sound card, etc.) I dont want to spend that much, so I was just wondering what would be a good combo for me, such as dual P3, AMD XP, P4, etc. Also, what type of chipset would be the best. Also, what other factors determine the speed you can backup DVDs, i.e. FSB, HD speed, etc.? I have a P4 1.8 ghz with 256 pc2700 RAM and I usually get about 1.45 on CCE. I just want to make this PC to simply backup DVDs, so I obviously dont want to drop a significant amount of money on it.
