I'm working with the above DVD and to tell you the truth don't know where to start. There are basically six episodes of the comedy on the disc and some outtakes VTS01 - VTS08. All have basic AC3 2ch sound tracks and subtitles (apart from the outtakes). You can play the DVD either by selecting a particular episode or by playing all the episodes one after the other. I'm not sure how to start on this DVD. So far I've stripped the entire DVD and all the AC3 sound tracks. I've used DVD2AVI on each of the VTS sectors. My question is should I use CCE to encode all VTS sectors down to size and then reauthor using Maestro or is there another easier and less time consuming method? For example can I put 3 episodes onto one disc and the other 3 onto another disc? How will the main menu work if I do this? Thanx!

I've just done this dvd.

You can go about encoding each episode & author the disc, but thats the long process & basically I didnt have the patience to do this.

What I did was rip the entire dvd in file mode to a folder on my hard drive called 'disc 1' then copied the ripped files to another folder called 'disc 2'

So now I have two copies of the movie on my computer.

Next I created dummy vobs & replaced the last three episodes on disc one & the 1st 3 episodes on disc 2 with dummys. I then did the usual ifoedit 'get vts sectors' stuff & burned the two discs.

when you try to select the missing episodes on disc 1 or 2 the standalone player will freeze. You just need to select 'title menu' on you remote to get back to the menu.

It's a rough way of doing this dvd, but without encoding all the episodes you've got little choice

Well I just re-encoded each episode and did a fairly simple menu using a scan of the front cover of the disc. All six episodes, plus an "Easter Egg" (a hidden "special feature") on one disc. Well worth the effort.

then reauthor using DVD Maestro. Long winded but it worked and plays spot on.

Or you can use Scenarist.
