Why is my Avisynth always reporting the wrong ver?

I recently cleaned my system of all avisynth.dlls and downloaded the YV12 and just copied those over. But when I open my version.avs file, it says that it's "Avisynth v2.50 beta 1 from Nov 7". Anyone know why that's happening?

The date isn't automatically updated, and I don't always do this, before releasing a new alpha.

Checking the date of the dll is the best way to know.
