Normally I use the following setting for mp3:
-b 256 -m s -q 0 --lowpass 19.5

I also u this for creating my mp3's en it offers good sound.
Now my question is:
Is this a good way for my movies or should I use the settings of the Gknot guide?

Which is the best way to get great sound?

Holy cow if you use that setting you'll have horrible, horrible video quality. Much better would be to use --alt-preset 128. Forget about your commandline, it's non-optimal. Use the alt-presets. It can be --alt-preset whatever. 144, 138, whatever. It doesn't have to be 128,160,192, etc. Just do NOT go over 144 for most 1 CD divx / xvid movies.j

Better yet, just use vorbis audio.

For the --alt-presets you need newer lame than the one delivered with Gordian Knot. Besweet should be upgraded, too, since in the help file for 1.3 the --alt-presets are not explicitly mentioned as supported. But I am not sure about Besweet.

So my preset isn't good?
I can change the 256 in 128 if I have to.
Does anybody know how to get the best video/sound quality rip?
