just downloaded TMPGEnc.

I'm a little confused on using dvd2avi in making a d2v file for encoding w/ Tmpgenc.

any help here will be greatly appreiciated. any referral info will also be apprieciated.

will these packages encode faster than Remeg2. really killing me with processing time. however I get GREAT looking DVD's after the remux.:D

Thanks in Advance..

Here is the DVD2AVI guide:

http://www.doom9.org/mpg/dvd2avi.htm

Note that there is a warning in the TMPGEnc guide dealing with NTSC formats and the d2v project...

in step 4 of this guide (http://www.doom9.org/mpg/ifoedit-multiangle.htm)

have you ever tried this with any success going from DVD2DVD? using TMPEGnc?

I've never had a problem loading the d2v project into TMPGEnc, and in most cases the resulting m2v file was perfect. I did have a few problems with other things, if I did not configure with the proper settings etc... But on the whole it works well.

Well I started encoding w/ dvd2avi everthing going good. So began encoding in Tmpg. I got the 98% complete then had a problem. Then couldn't get the movie to encode on ifoedit using remux. problem didn't happen until the very end. Needless to say the movie is way out of synch. This is the second time. Now I'm trying again, Step by Step (according the the guide) I've seen a few things that I've changed so I decided to use the default settings. Boy is it slow. just as slow as Remeg. Somehow I think that its something that I'm doing.

I WILL GET THIS, AND WHEN I DO I'LL LET THE YOU. (Its personal now!)

 thanks again, I'll keep you posted.

By the way, the movie I'm working on is Minority Report 7.8GB
