View Full Version : Chapters, who is right?

OK, I am pondering again. I use ChaptXtract on Spiderman, then I use IFOUpdate to get a different chapter list, and I get two lists of chapters that are between 13 and 21 ms off of eachother, a difference that MIGHT cause an I frame to be created 1 frame off...

Which is more accurate?

Second question, when a film is mixed (FILM & NTSC) does IFOUpdate take that into consideration when you save the "CCE Forced Film" chapter file? If not, and it assumes a constant framerate, would that not throw it off?

If anyone is wise to this, please let me know...

Which is more accurate? Don't be so anal about your precision. Since your frames are occurring every ~42mS (FILM rate), either one seems more accurate than it needs.

Are you using this info to set CCE I-frame insertion points? If so, then either one will do.

Bitrate is not important. Chapters are set by time.

Sorry, I fixed the message, I meant to say it assumes a constant FRAMErate, not bitrate.....
