Could someone give me some information about the slow speed from
the cce 2.50?
I have a PC with P4 1.5GHz and 512Mb, but the speed is
0.84. I use the DVD2SVCD version 1.1.0 build 1c.
I always rip PAL DVD`s. The qualtity ist O.K., but too
slow.
What must I do to speed up the cee encoder( example please )?
Thank

Do not deinterlace if it isnt neccesary,it really kills speed,search the stats of others speeds in the forum.ur pc is not fast,in ur position i would be really happy , especially if your m/b has low benchmarks.test ur pc.memory speed is critical to performance.imagine for my pc going from 2.5ns to 2ns i gained 0.13speed (3,25frames)

I tell you little secret...shhhh :cool:
example for DVD -> DVD-R with P4+CCE:
do these lines with notepad:
[I]
LoadPlugin("C:\PROGRA~1\DVD2SVCD\MPEG2Dec\mpeg2dec.dll")
mpeg2source("C:\Terminator\terminator.d2v",idct=5)
ResampleAudio(44100)
And save that for *.avs file! You can the use that avs-file directly with CCE...
that gives you SSE2 speeeeeeeeeeed...
[idct=5 -> for Pentium 4!]
First I didnt use that method and CCE speed was 1.3X-1.5X after that ",idct=5" line I got 3X speed!!! Nice!!!

Hey Adder, I tried what you said, add the idct=5 line. I am encoding it right now, the speed is insanely fast, I suddenly get 3.250 where I got 0.915 before on my P4 2,4ghz.
Only the bitrate is now only 1.9mbit where I said it should have been 3.9mbit which it did encode in before I added idct=5
Is this a result of idct=5? I'll just keep it running, see what the result will look like.
