Fastest way from AVI > DVD-R

I tried posting this in the "Newbie" section but got no reply.

Can anybody tell me what the fastest way to convert an AVI file without sound into a MPV file using CCE preferably?

I have read "getting the best out of CCE" but that only shows DVD9 > DVD5. I have also been searching the forums with no luck.

Are you saying that cce wont encode your avi when you right click and "add" it?
Or do you want us to tell you exactly what to click and when?

No, everyone says that it is susposed to be faster than TMPGENC, but it doesn't seem to be faster for me, i was just wondering what the fastest method was.

CCE is lightning fast and gorgeous quality.Its a real WEAPON..learn how to use it and u will be really happy of the result.try avisynth for start,filter ur avi to get it to the real dvd size u want and then read...

basically follow that guide, but instead of importing a .avs into CCE, just import your avi and work from there.
