codec type

now i know this is a litte out there, but does anyone know of a program that can test a movie to see what codec it is in? ya know when you dl a movie knowing if its 3.11, 4.x, 5, Xvid, etc, its kinda hard to tell just by looking...

You can try gspot it should tell you. It is in the download section of this site.
