I've got several movies where the audio is understandable and you can watch the movie but there is this underlying choppy digital sounding noise I really don't know what it is unless it's just a terrible rip. But like i said I have several of them and it seems like the actual audio is OK, just that irritating background du du dud dud du kinda noise? Anybody know of a way to correct this. Usually I just throw them away but I've got some Xmas flicks for the nephews I kinda want to fix an I need to figure it out anyway. Thanks.

Is the noise only in high frequency range? If so you can use an eq to cut that... I can't thing of something else (maybe extract the audio as wav and try to apply noise reduction in Cool Edit?)

No it's low frequency. It may not show in a dvd player I haven't tried that yet. Well it's just for kids they should be OK with it. Thanks though.
