View Full Version : Movie is stopping abruptly

I have made several successful bin/cues with the product but I am now having a problem that I cannot figure out. When copying Chris Rock - Bigger and Blacker, everything runs through and I end up with a error free bin/cue. The problem is the movie stops after 11 minutes. This happens on both the burnt bin file on a stand alone player and when I play the mpg file on my computer. The mpg file is still 800 MB but only runs for 11 minutes? Has anyone seen this before and what can I do to fix it?

Probably won't help, but still best to post your DVD2SVCD_Log.txt file using cut and paste, don't attach it.
What did you use to rip the Vobs?
Is there any kind of error at all in the video stream?
Is there sound all the way through?
Have you tried playing the ripped Vob files off the HD with WinDVD or PowerDVD to see if they are ok?
Did you try to play the encoded_video.mpv file and see if that is ok?
What about the mp2 file?

i used vstrip to rip the dvd, there is sound until it reaches the eleven minute mark and then everything stops. I cannot play the mpv file in anything nor mp2 file. It seems like it quit after the first chapter or something without warning? Here is the log:

Have you tried to play the VOB files in WinDVD or PowerDVD?
I have a feeling it was a bad rip.
The mp2 and mpv files will play in media player you just need to associate them manually.

Try internal routines next time.
If you used a stand alone version of vstrip try to stick to the version included in DVD2SVCD. This also helps us becuase we can see what was ripped in the log file as long as you do both the rip and the encode at once.
