I'd like to encode my films using mp4 file format using zoomplayer... so I tried some mp4 Dshow filter.
There are 4 which allow mp4 playback via DS.
1) Ligos mpeg4 ... 4 me doesn't work
2) Envivio ... is not possible to use other decoder, like ffdshow
3) Mpegable ddshow filter ... it's possible to use ffdshow but file it's not seekable :(
4) 3ivx D4 PR2 ... there is mp4 stream splitter, mpeg4 video & audio decoder, so i thought it was possible to use ffdshow... but it isn't. when i manually connect ffdshow to mp4 stream splitter, graphedit says "incompatible types", or something similar... Is it possible to modify ffdshow and let it accepts output of the splitter?
It'd be great.

You may use ffdshow with raw video, so you may try to manually connect it after 3ivx video decoder. It works with other codecs.

I know it is not a too good solution but I think is the only way.

Hi,

Does anyone know if there is any mp4 demuxer that can be connected to Nic's XViD video decoder or ffdshow's video decoder??

Thanks a lot.
Regards.

Thats what I wanted. I tried mpegable and envivio, but they were both very bad DShow filters. 3ivx's one is very good, but has something in it so I cant connect any other filters to it (I tried everything to get my filter connected to it but couldn't)

Maybe you could try nagging Stux and the like to allow other filters to connect to it, as 3ivx's media spliter would be the best option.

Cheers,
-Nic

Hi,

OK, I've just posted a message in 3ivx's forum.

By the way, do you know if the XviD developers have plans of making their own mp4 demuxer filter?

Regards.
