Hi,

I'm trying to totally recreate the original dvd but i'm coming unstuck because I think it may be a seamless branched dvd.

Here is the VTS layout in dvd decrypter

VTS_04
|
|--PGC 1 [01:46:03]
|
|--PGC 2 [01:46:03]
|
|--PGC 3 [00:00:00]

As you can see, the 1st two PGC's contain the main movie & the vobs for this VTS equal only about 3.5gigs.

So i'm guessing that the movie is only actually contained in the vobs once????????

If so ...... How would I reauthor this? I'm soooo confused :(

Are 4:3 and 16:9 on same disc? Seems like that is what that maybe. Select one and see which is which and select which aspect ratio you want. (4:3, fullscreen; 16:9, letterboxed)

I've just looked at this title

PGC 2 is a dummy, just uses the same content as PGC1..

if you use JDobbs multi-pgc method or an adaptation thereof you can ignore PGC 2.. IFOUpdate will do this work for you.

So am I right in thinking that I only need to create
two title sets in scenarist (one for the movie & one for the still show?

I still dont quite understand it beacause although PGC2 contains the dummy movie file, the audio is defferent

Yes ...you just create the 2 PGC's..

this is wrong.. of course...

even tho the content in pgc 2 is identical to pgc1.. it DOES have content... so this means you MUST represent all 3 playlists if IFOUpdate is going to work...

sorry about that.. my brain was obviously otherwise engaged...

Ok now you've confused me even more ;)

So, is it 2 or 3 PGC's I create in scenarist

Sorry about that but I had my brain in PARK when I initially replied... :D

In Maestro I made all 3 PGC's on this title....

Maestro makes the PGC's as playlists.. so you can use multiple instances of the same content.. you need to do whatever it is Scenarist uses to do the same thing

I thought PGC 2 was a dummy PGC at first... but it isn't it's just exactly the same as PGC 1... a dummy PGC would have no chapters or cells listed in the 2nd PGC

thanx for the tip. Now i'll go hunt down the method for doing it in scenarist :D
