ET - Subtitle Problem

OK, I am using the DVD-9 to DVD-5 Full Copy instructions. I have done approximately 15 DVDs using this method so far all without problems, but I've just had my first weird problem, with ET.

I used SubRip to take the 2 subtitles (English and Dutch) and imported them into my DVD Maestro project.

After compiling, I overwrote the old VOBs with the new, (not VOB 0 obviously) and used IFOUpdate.

Playing back the movie, I can select any of the 4 audio streams BUT I can NOT view the Dutch subtitles.

The menu in PowerDVD will allow me to select Dutch subtitles, but the English ones are still being displayed. If I go back to my DVD Maestro project, and edit any one of the Dutch subtitles, they are definitely Dutch!

Any suggestions?

I'd look back at the original DVD structure. If the Dutch subs were not originally the 2nd subtitle stream, then that's where the problem might be. If the dutch were originally 3rd, then just make a small dummy subtitle stream as #2, with one blank subtitle, and then it might work better (and then you can use the dvd's own menu to select Dutch).

That's the only suggestion I can make. At least it's something to try?
