The latest version of VirtualDub (1.4.13) crashes horribly everytime I try to encode xvid 2nd pass with it. VD 1.4.12 also suffers from this problem, but 1.4.11 is fine. The movies made with 1.4.11 look great.
Is anyone else having issues with those two releases and trying to encode with the latest xvid alphas? I'm running a dual athlon system that's rock solid, and vd is the only thing that seems to have a problem.

No problems here on my dualie Intel and AMD systems with all the latest XviD alphas. If your memory timings are tweaked then that could be the culprit. Vdub is the only app I know that truly tells you if youve overclocked or tweaked your BIOS too tight.

I've gotten crashes too with v-dub 1.4.13 when doing second passes. However if I disable b-frames, it'll work fine. But v-dub 1.4.12 works for me with b-frames enabled. Guess I'll just stick with 1.4.12 until this situation is resolved.
I am using Koepi's XviD-03122002-1.exe dev build.

Yeah, believe me, I messed with my settings a lot before I releazed it was the specific versions of xvid which were screwing up on me. It's not memory timings or OC'ing. The system isn't OC'd, and is running default spd settings at 133 bus with mushkin PC 3000 ram.
