To keep multiangle titles intact will involve quite a bit of work.. but it can be done.
The prob is that most re-encoders (TMPEG/CCE) can't re-encode the angles with identical GOP structure.. which is a requirement for most authoring software to create multiangle titles..
the workaround is to split the vobset...
split all the single-angle content and re-encode this as normal.
split each angle of the multi-angle content.. Demux to discrete video streams..DO NOT RE-ENCODE..
in authoring app (maestro) set up title video stream based around angle 1.. i.e. make angle 1 stream complete on timeline, create synch audio track, bring in chaps (adjust to match actual segments if necessary)and subs.
add multiangle content on separate tracks but aligned with angle 1 content for each of the multiangle segments...
save, compile and re-integrate
In the case of the title you mention it's a lot of work... to make your life easy and keep your kids happy at same time I'd suggest reduce to 1 angle and IFOUpdate... which will kill the angles you cut out in the IFO.

actually, TMPGEnc can be set to encode to a fixed GOP size (closed of course), which works in multi-angle, CCE the same.

I tried this in CCE/Maestro when I looked at the matrix...
used "closed GOP" and "restrict I-Frame" but Mestro still insisted that the GOP structure was not identical...
is there something I'm missing??
TIA

a thought came to my mind that make sure that the frame that the 2nd angle starts is a I frame on the original footage, otherwise they arent going to lineup :)
