Hello everyone!

I made this little tool for my own purposes, but have decided to share the joy with you people :). It uses only virtualdub and two simple DOS batch files.

The purpose is to make easy 2-pass encoding of a whole batch of avi/mpg files. I use it to recompress older series/episodes to the new DivX 5. With a little tweaking it could probable be sued with other versions of VirtualDub.

Instructions:
1) Unpack the Zip file in your VirtualDub directory
2) Make a new directory called input in your VirtualDub directory
3) Copy all your input files to the input directory
4) Use VirtualDub to create two configuration files, just as you normally would when making 2-pass encodes. Call them "1pass.vcf" and "2pass.vcf" and save them in your VirtualDub directory
5) Execute the 2pass.bat and follow the instructions

Enjoy!

I'm not sure what this is doing differently than vdub's internal jobs, but thanks anyways.

Wow! 50 downloads and only a single comment (although i did get one by mail)

Does it work as it should? Do you have any experiences with it? Any ideas for improvement?
