I tried in Maestro and in Scenarist to create an animated menu that has a startup sequence and a loop...
Maestro uses the convenient feature where you can control the loop back point with a slider. In Scenarist I tried to do the same thing with one clip and chapter stops or with two separate clips.
Basically I got the same results... On my Settop player everything works fine, but when I play it with PowerDVD the DVD just stops after the first loop (in any case). I tried (after I read some posts) Cinematograph and it works too. Apparently just PowerDVD doesn't do it right.
On the other hand, almost every Hollywood DVD has this feature and it works as well on my Settop player and with PowerDVD. Somewhere has to be a bug, or I just don't get it right.
In the meantime I do two separate clips in Maestro. One has the Startup sequence plus some loop, the other one has just the loop. This way, I don't get a break between the Startup and the loop and I have no problem linking back to just the loop. But I think it takes to much space on the disk...
After analyzing a few Hollywood DVDs, I think I can say that nobody uses 'my' method (cheat). If someone has the same problem, or even has a solution for this phenomenon any advise would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks...
PS: Any ideas of having multiple soundtracks for a menu (and not saving the menu video clip several times) or how they did the 'animated menu' in Spiderman. (changing the color of the subpicture)?[PHP]
