Hi there !
I know that the MicroDVD player supports some sort of menu but I donīt know if this is an option for multiple movies on DVD-R.
My idea:
Code a program that offers multiples "icons" (like scanned DVD-covers) to select via hotkey or mouse.
This program could launch the related movie using BSPlayer. I think BSPlayer is the best one because it offers a clear INI-file and supports WinLIRC.
The "launch program" could read the related infos (movie file, icons, etc) from a simple ini file like this:
[Movie1]
Movie=Blade2.avi
Icon=Blade2.jpg
BSCfg=Blade2.cfg
....
The "launch program" could be started via autorun.ini. My aim is to provide "DVD-like" comfort with multiple movies on DVD-R. Using DivX/XVid you can easily fit up to 6 movies (or more for seasons of Buffy, X-files, etc) to a CD-R.
So here are my questions:
1) Good idea ?
2) Is there something like this ?
3) What would be a good format for the INI file ? Is there a more flexible way to handle the "GUI->movie" interaction ? XML ? HTML ?
Put your comments here in the thread,
