I've got a movie that I want to make a backup of but the movie is 4.54 gigs. The last vob out of the set is 580mbis it possible to just reduce the size of that one particular vob or do I need to do the whole movie ?

There is no extra's on this disc to remove just the movie.

You could just encode the last VOB if you wish or the whole movie, it's up to you. I prefer to do the whole movie, I know it is a bit more time consuming (just leave it overnight) but this way the quality drop is spread over the whole movie and is less noticeable.

Also you don't get a sudden noticeable drop at the end of the movie once it goes into the last VOB. With your setup the last VOB will have to be reduced to about 70% quality.
