Newbie, so please forgive any dumb questions or assumptions...
I've made a couple of discs with the latest IfoEdit and I was happy with the results, as they worked great in my Panasonic set-top box. However, I've recently discovered that the discs don't playback properly in:
* Sony player: they freeze if you use a chapter stop
* Mac software DVD player: playback is choppy from the outset and gets worse if you chapter stop forward. Note that this is playback both from a disc as well as playing a build right from the hard disk
* (most surprisingly) IfoEdit playback... can't chapter forward.
I did read the 'sticky' message concerning problems with pause/rewind/ffwd, and saw about using "adjust VOB-Unit pointers." Do I do that with the VOBs that I've ripped to disc, or with the build I create with IfoEdit's authoring? (I tried the latter and it didn't seem to help on a new disc I'm working on.)
I'm ripping the main movie to disk, using DVD2AVI and TMPGEnc to re-encode, then loading the movie, AC3, and fixed chapter stops into IfoEdit. Just want the movie, don't care about the menu structure. Could it be my TMPGEnc settings?
Thanks for any help.
