could someone give me an easy way of encoding just one vob and then remuxing it back into the set. Ive tried the guides at derrows but they read like greek to me and i dont speak greek. It would save hours because i have so many movies that are just 2 or 300 megs too big and to have to reencode the whole movie just sucks thanks

I do not do it often, but remember reading it somewhere.
Take just one vob from the ripped movie & redo with 50% in Rempeg2
Then use ifoedit to remux the created m2v to this one vob only
(all done on a copy of the original vob, in case)
Then replace vobs & you are done

Teken it from some other board.
Credit goes to the original poster:
"This is what I have come up with becuase I hate waiting 24 hours to rempeg the entire film!
Rip the Movie With DVDdecrypter Movie Mode and select Just the Video and AC3 sountrack.
Open rempeg and then open the first vob file of the movie. Drag the slider to 50% and leave everything else the way it is. Then limit the bitrate to 5000 or less if you really need a ton of space but it won't look good if less than 5000.
Name the file movie.m2v
After the encode, move the ifo file, the first vob, and the m2v file to a new folder. Run IFO edit and open the ifo file in the new folder.
Now, just choose remux and insert the movie.m2v file for the remux. Tell ifo edit to save it to the location where the other vobs are.
After it is done, move the ifo file back to the directory where the other vobs are.
Now, open ifo edit again and choose create new ifo, create new video_ts, remove popups,etc..
Now hit get vts and burn your film! Done!!!
If you need even more space, you can do 2 things. If the last vob is just credits you could just not burn it onto the disc.
Or, if the last vob has some of the movie and the credits use vobsplit 2.6 and trim out the stuff after the credits run for 30 sec or so.. You will need to open the last vob and get an idea where to trim with PowerDVD or whatever you use.
Optional extra step, Download the program called "BETTER FILE RENAME" and change everything in the VIDEO_TS folder to upper case.
Oh yeah, don't forget to rename all the vobs to 01 instead of 08,etc.. (Derrow, please add the rename the Vobs where we hit get VTS sectors and have it upper case everything if possible)."
