ive seen lots of threads about DVD-Rs that dont work but whats the best DVD-R brand to use? ive been using 1x Princo DVD-Rs (that i got from yesbuy.net) and ive burnt about 50 so far. I havent had any problems yet and i dont remember having any coasters. The only thing im worried about is how long these "cheaper" disks last. ive had some problems with those horrible silver cds lasting for only about a year, and was just wondering if anyone has had problems with Princo or knows if they start having problems after a year or two.

Reported as best : Apple, Pioneer but expensive
Reported as best quality/cost ratio : Ritek Gen 3

Not too bad : well lots of other DVD-R

really bad ? The worst ? CD-Recordable :-) ! Bankrupted now

From the reports i have heard, the Princo 1x work fine, however the Princo 2x are far from satisfactory.

I am using the Princo DVD-Rs too, without problems so far, but i have no idea how long the data on them is still readable...my friend does not trust them and recommends Verbatim DVD-Rs.
Has anyone experiences with Princo/ Verbatim or a link to a review of DVD-Rs???
