Ive ripped out most extras from a dvd and want the links to the ones that have been deleted to take you back to the root menu rather than giving an error that they are not on the disk.
I assume its quite a simple process but i looked and couldnt find out how to do it.
Thanks

I believe I've read that you have to use VOBEdit and change stuff in the nvaigations packs of each file. That's pretty much all I know. I doubt is a simple process, otherwise you would be able to find posts about it.

You can do it in VobEdit by changing the Nav Packs but if it is a full motion menu then I don't know how to make your change for 1 Nav Pack work for all the Nav Packs (there can be alot of them) in a VOBId. You can do it in IfoEdit but it is a long process which can't be explained here.
All I can say is use VobEdit and view the Nav Packs of the correct VobId of where the button you wish to edit is, look at your buttons, work out which button is what and their commands which will link to 'PGC Menus' or Program Numbers. Look at Ifoedit's PGC Menus under 'VTSM_PGCI_UT'. Look at the 'PGC Command Table', 'PGC Program Map', Cell Command Numbers and 'Cell Position in VOB'.
I have skipped alot here but I hope I've pushed you in the right direction so you can start to figure things out. I'll answer your specific questions if you have problems later....have fun.

You have to use VOBEdit, open your Menu VOB and in that you will see a series of 'Navigation Packs' in the left screen. Choose the correct VOBId of the menuscreen that includes button that you wish to edit.
Click the 'Buttons' Tab, then in the right screen scroll to you see your buttons and change the command line to jump to where you wish for it to jump to... a menu screen, chapter, PGC-Menu whatever. But it is not as easy to edit as editting IFOs in IfoEdit, you can't just right click and choose the command, there's a series of numbers you have to input which you can get by copying other commands in VobEdit or IfoEdit. Like I said earlier as well, if it has motion or audio you'll have to edit every Nav Pack in the VOBId one at a time unless someone can figure out how to do it for every Nav Pack in one go.
