I installed v3.1.4.0, and my DVD+RW disks are not recognized anymore. I am reading/ripping them on a Memorex DVD-MAXX 1648 AJ player on my PC. These DVD+RWs are recorded on a Philips DVDR 985 standalone recorder. With v3.1.3.0 and below I have no problems ripping them, just went back to 3.1.3.0 and all is OK. 3.1.4.0 reads the label OK (it shows PHILIPS_DVD_something), then the right panes are left empty, and 'unformatted disk' appears on the status bar.

Installing and uninstalling 3.1.4.0 does not change anything, nor does it break anything else in my system (thank god :) ) : the same DVD+RW are still readable with no problems with SmartRipper, before 3.1.4.0, while it is installed and after de-installation. And as I said, going back to 3.1.3.0 makes the disks recognizable and rippable again.

Anything I can do to help pinpoint the problem (like extra logging/debugging, etc.)?

Oh geez....I wish there would just a standard way of these things working! As far as Im aware, DVD+RW media had to be formatted before it could be used.
Your disc is reporting itself as being unformatted - I guess thats just the way standalones work. This was an additional check I put into 3.1.4.0. Can you please copy + paste the entire contents of the little information box on the right hand side in 'IFO Read' mode.
I'll use to that make some sort of work around.

I don't know how PC DVD+RW/R recorders work, but with my standalone I just unwrap it, put it in, and press record.
