iuVCR can't see HuffYUV codec anymore :(

Hi,

I'm having trouble with iuLab iuVCR software and HuffYUV codecs: the huffyuv codec is not available in the compression format listbox.
I'm using iuVCR v4.1.0.255, huffyuv v2.1.1 and nVidia WDM v1.08 under Win2000 Pro Sp3. My capture card is an Asus GeForce 3 Ti200.
The weird part is that this same codec is available with virtualdub and is known in W2k codecs list, so it is correctly registered in the system's registry.

I'm confused because, before I reinstall from scratch all my PC last week, I was able to capture with iuVCR and HuffYUV.
My old system was: Win2k Pro Sp2 + nVidia WDM v1.08 + HuffYUV 2.1.1 + iuVCR v4.0.227.

I tried to install the 'old' iuVCR v4.0.227 on my current system but the codec didn't show up in the listbox.
I must be missing something but I don't know what. Maybe it is related to nVidia's drivers. I use drivers v30.82 from nVidia while I was using v28.32 in the previous setup.

Anyone already has experienced such a problem?

It might be to do with the colour format your trying to capture in.

For instance if I set the format to 16-bit in VD, HuffYuv can no longer be picked from the list. But with YUY2 it's there again.

Actually, it does work in VD. It's in iuVCR where the problem appears. In iuVCR, I tried to capture both in NTSC and SECAM (I live in France, SECAM's country :rolleyes: ); those used to work in my previous setup. When choosing format, there's only YUV available, not YUY2. That's weird too. As far as I can remember, I could choose between several formats before.

hi.. did u resolve the hiffyuv codec problem??? i do hv the same problem, i see this codec in v-dub, but not in iuvcr!!!! i am using winxp-sp1-geforce mx200.

plz... let me know if u hv solved the prob
