I have a Hauppage WinTV-dbx (the one with cable and radio tuners and s-video in). I have been thinking about picking up a second WinTV-Go card for it's cable tuner, but before I do that, I wanted to figure out how to make AVI_IO capture using the tuner.
According to their site (http://www.nct.ch/multimedia/avi_io/avi_io_ssettings.htm) you have to hit the "Stations" button, or enter the settings through the File menu, however, these buttons are disabled "in case the currently selected device is not supported to have Stations in AVI_IO". I find that very strange considering I have a card with the popular Brooktree chipset, and it is listed (http://www.nct.ch/multimedia/avi_io/avi_io_install.htm) that "all brooktree based TV tuner boards" are supported.
So, in order to use the tuner with avi_io, do I need to install different drivers? Or is there something else? I am currently using the drivers off the cd that came with my hauppage card on Win2k.
