View Full Version : Is this possible?

OK I have a movie that I encode through TMPGEnc. It's a captured movie that I captured myself, not a DVD rip. I can select the option 'encode to elementray streams'. TMPGEnc will then give me 2 files as encoded DVD output:

m2v and mp2

So far I haven't found any way to load mp2 files as audio source in ifoedit, is that possible? If not, is there a way to encode to some other ifoedit compatable file type straight out of TMPGEnc with no extra work?

OK next: I want to take 2 m2v files and 2 mp2 files (2 seperate movies that I've encoded with TMPGEnc). They are 352x480 DVD mpgs. I want to put them both on a single DVD, with a menu that lets me switch between them. Is this possible with IFOEdit?

So far I've only been able to import a single m2v and mpa (Had to change my tmpgeng mp2 file to mpa). If there's a way to import another m2v and mpa how? Or is my entire process flawed?

All in all I want to:
Encode 2 movies in TMPGEnc
Load that output into IFOEdit
Setup a menu to switch between them
output the vob files
burn the video_ts folder with a seperate dvd burning tool

Ifoedit does not support menu creation yet.
You need something like DVD maestro for your authoring. I have created DVD's from scratch using this, a guide is available on doom9.
The new imgtool 99.1 supports writing DVD's as well as image creation.
You might want to give it a go I personally at the moment use Prassi Primo DVD to write the images created with imgtool 0.89. I haven't got around to testing this yet. Im upto approx 50 rips atm without issue ( XBOX, PS2, SONY DVP 735 ).

Note: you need nero installed for imgtool 0.91. Writing DVD's,with nero directly was OK but causing incompatiblity with my XBOX plus some DVD's did not work for some reason. This was using the directory rather than the image method however. Another alternative maybe to use DVD Decryptor this now writes DVD's also I believe although again I have not tried this but I beleive it has had positive feedback.

I hope this helps,
