I used Pegasus PICVideo MJPEG Codec with VirtualDub and tried to capture a recording from an old videocam (8mm). The quality of the picture is great when it's showed in VirtualDub and I run the tape but the captured files are not the same.

The captured files are a bit slower and has an irregular "flow" when looking on them in Media Player, and in Adobe Premiere where I want to edit them. The files are slow after I have exported them to a MPEG-2 file from Premiere aswell.

I have captured without sound and have tried with both quality 19 and 20 but it's all the same. My card is a Sparkle Geforce4 Ti-4200 VIVO. I use Windows 2000 + SP3, Amd 1800+, 256 Ram and two harddrives (one for windows and one for captured files). I never get any dropped frames.

Any ideas what the problem is? I have used a Matrox Marvel G-200 and I never had any problems to capture files.

Thanks auenf. Can you explain more about the field order? Where do I change that?

I found some information on lukesvideo.com so I think I have understood it now. Thanks anyway :)
