All,

Just finishing up on my first project and am trying to burn the finished project on DVD-R. Burning w/Nero 55917 on the Sony DRU500A.

I drag all the Video_TS files into Nero and burn. It gives me a warning message:

DVD-Video files reallocation failed. The resulting DVD-Video might be unplayable. "Files "%s" is not referenced and should not be present"

If I ignore the warning and continue to write, the resulting DVD is playable on an APEX DVD player, but not on my Toshiba SD6200.

Looking for help in trying to resolve. My media is Ritek. Should I try a different media or is there any compatibility options that need to be turned on in Nero? Thx for any help,

Kris

Are there any files in the VIDEO_TS directory that don't belong?

I know Spruce puts one file (can't remember exactly, maybe ??.prj) in the VIDEO_TS directory that Nero whines about. Maybe your authoring s/w is doing this as well.

Lots of ppl have had more success with Nero using ISO/UDF 1.02 mode and just building the required directory structure manually.

Also, Apex players are famous for playing just about *anything* that gets inserted... Maybe your Toshiba is just more picky about what it will play.

Which brings up the ugly question of cheap/cr@p media...

Played around with it more ...

I'm authoring with Impression Pro which creates an DVD image. I can write the image with RecordNow and it plays with my Toshiba ... so it's great to see Ritek media + Sony DRU500A working.

So, I'm pretty sure it's Nero. I can't seem to find a way to read in the image file ... Nero pukes on it, and when I try to rebuild the image from the Video_ts files, it gives me the above error.

Good thing is I have a working solution, but it's much slower ...
