I'm about 38 hours through encoding six episodes of Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy with 8 hours yet to go usuing DVD2SVCD and I've just noticed that TMPG shows a video source but not an audio source, even though DVD2SVCD shows the audio was successfully extracted earlier.
Should I be worried?
Please God tell me it's okay. I was beginning to believe I'd finally got this stuff to work.

DVD2SVCD does everything separately. By now, you should allready have the audio file encoded. It will be muxed with the video at the end of the process.
Look into your output folder. It should be there.

Thanks. Yes I ended up with sound. But and it's a BIG BUT - after I think it was 46 long hours of encoding I ended up with only one episode of the 6x30 minute episode DVD I was backing up.
I've read some posts on this so I've got some idea of what's going on here.
But the really wierd thing is that it has created two MPEGs of thes same episode both of which are the same except one seems a little choppy and the file is a fraction larger. That might explain why it took so long.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong and I'm starting to think this is the most frustrating thing I have ever tackled on the computer. I'm starting to wonder is it worth it?
