I would buy none of those. I don't play games and I don't listen to music in the house.

Er, this is the strangest poll I ever saw... Who can decide for you? Would you let a bunch of people you don't know decide for you? If you would write, for instance, "I have x dollars, like racing games and have a large OGG collection, what should I buy?" that would be a bit easier, but still strange...
What's the next poll? Wich girl shall I date "x, y or z"?
My opinion is go for z, she seems to be more compatible with your needs :D .
Cheers,
Mijo.

I would buy the PS2, because a new Dragon Ball Z 3D fighting game is coming to it :D

PS2. Why ? I think a small laptop pc + external soundcard is a better portable audio player and quite frankly the only good games that I have played on X-box are Halo and Crash! Whereas you can really stuff up your life with the superlative PS2 games Grand Turismo 3, Stunt Driver, Grand Theft Auto 3 ( and yes I'm aussie but yes i do have the uncut version - man, that was a great purchase, already i have been offered $500 for it,lol ) and of course Tekken 4 and Final Fantasy 10.
I'd seriously consider gamecube as well ( presuming you wnt to buy games ). Don't own one but from what I've played I like that system, it seems better than X-box for pure sizzling graphis pov.

nice poll (very random)
but, very funny to me, because I just got an expanium 503(newer model, soon the 511 will come out) off ebay. I already have the car deck mp3 cd player, so i figured i should be able to take the cd's out of the car and put some headphones on ;)
but with teh lineup you've got, it's all about personal choice, what do you want? a dvd player/gameing consol, or a mp3 diskman? Maybe you should take the diskman out of the lineup, and just try to choose between gaming systems if that's hwat you want, then pick up the mp3 player when you get some more $$$?

I'd go for the mp3 player because music is generally more important to me than gaming. Also I can play games on my computer, so I don't really need to have a console.
I very much like mp3 capable hardware, however :D

i'd also go for the mp3 player!
why? since you're spending some time in the doom9 forums i suppose you have at least a DVD ROm most likely a standalone player too and also a computer capable of at least playing the not brand new games!
so this just leaves the mp3 portable, and i can just recommend them! i've bought another one just a month ago and i sure do not regret it

Strange poll my hairy friend.
PS2 with Grand Theft Auto:- Vice City is sweet.
Got my little bro that for christmas and was playing it last week while he was in bed.:)
And yes, it is over 18s

I'll go for PS2 over Xbox due to available games on the market (I know that there're several good games coming out on Xbox as well but that doesn't bother me). Why don't you add another option, says "Sound Blaster Audigy 2." It seems that you're likely to stay home rather than going outside (2 choices are game console players, which aren't portable and the last choice is portable device. It makes me confused  ). I rather spend money a bit more on Sound Card of PC rather than portable player because PC supports any format and multi-channel. ;)
