I m using iuVCR 4.0.0.230 (WInXP SP1) on the folowing system:
AthlonXP 2100+
M/B Gigabyte GA-7VA
512MB Kingston DDR333
Creative Geforce4 Ti4600
SB Live! 5.1 BULK
Conexant Modem 56Kbps
Leadtek WinFastTV2000
(Bt878+Phillips PAL)

When I click on "Start Preview" I get a blank (it is totally black)
Preview Window.So,i click on "Stop Preview" and then Click on it again to start
watching TV.What happens is this: I get the real preview window while the fist black window (named "ActiveMovie Window" in TaskManager !) goes into the background.
I can capture ok,I can watch TV ok,but its bugging me really much cos i cant understand it.
This happens from time to time without any particular reason (I didnt change nVIDIA drivers -still they re 41.03-or DirectX drivers or TV Tuner Drivers) just like the "missing Video TAB" bug(?)...Does anyone have any idea why this is happenning only in Smart TEE preview and not always ?!?
Is this something to do with overlay/non overlay preview ?!? What causes it ?!?
...and ofcourse what can i do to prevent it ?!?

Sound like a DirectShow Problem. Which version of DirectX do you have installed? You could download install this new RC0 of DirectX 9. It only will run until someday March 03. But for sure there will be a final version before that date.

BTW,I m not into installing DX Beta software...

Try the following:

Delete the iuVCR regsitry settings, and deinstall your existing capture driver. Best you use the btwincap installer for uninstall. Then reinstall the Leadtek driver. Next do the following:

Start-->Run
regsvr32 /u quartz.dll

Start-->Run
regsvr32 quartz.dll

Now run iuVCR.

Also consider to reinstall your graphic card's driver.

I unistalled both Tv tuner and Graphic Card drivers AND iuVCR and istalled them again,one at a time but same thing happens again...
What can I do ?!?
I m sick of this Active Window which pops up all the time...

Yes of course...I should have done this before...
The problem was with the DirectVOBSub proggie which didnt pop up in the tray as it used to.That caused the preview window to NOT show TV but a appear just black.Anyway,I reconfigured DirectVOBSub to load whenever a video is being played (TV tuner Preview Window included!) and now all is fine...Dont ask me more,thats all i know...:devil: :devil: :devil:
