Hi Guys

Ive spent over a week trying to back up my DVD of Mission Impossible 2

I have finally got to the point of getting it to all work with DVD Maestro and the dreadding Drop Flag, and chapter importing errors and now this

When i play it in my DVD player or on my PC its seems to be a bit jumpy or fuzzy, picture seems to shack slightly, but a very small amount but enough to put u off watching after a while,

ive reduced the film in size using DVD2AVI, CCE, and then Maestro.

its was 29.97 FPS, 16.9 Pan-Scan (sounds all in sync and Chapters work fine with the orginal menus etc)

SO IM AT A LOSS

cheers for any help

Perhaps you clicked Progressive frame in CCE ?

Hi there, thanks for the reply, ive just sat down at my pc and while i was waiting for AOL to load i thought id have another read of the CCE instructions and noticed that my print out was missing the bit about the Bitrate viewer, so ive just read that and noticed that ive had Progressive check in CCE, so im going to try it again without to see what happens but im sure your right,

Many thanks

Does it play OK in the PC?
If it does, then the problem is that the bitrate is too low for your standalone dvd player. Check vcdhelp.com to find out the min bitrate that your dvd player can handle

if the problem exists while playing the dvd in pc also, then it could be one of the other settings relating to progressive mode encoding

Hi Guys

Just to let you know that ive fixed the problem it was that in CCE i had checked Upper Field First, (even though in Bitrate Viewer it said Upper field First Yes)

When i re did it without it being check (and with Progressive on) it worked fine

Cheers
