I got an early copy of Bad Company and its completely stumping me on how to back this thing up. I basically did doom9 guide for dvd9 to dvd5, but its ain't working. I'm getting Audio and Video sync problem. I've backed up plenty of my dvd's using this guide already, but this one just takes the cake.

Using Dvd Maestro i notice that the two output file and audio is as follow:

output.m2v time is 01:56:31:11

output-drop.m2v time is 01:56:38:11

(when i drag and drop this file in the time line it ends up being the same time as the first output file.)

AC3file.ac3 time is 01:56:32:23

(the AC3 file is created using dvd2avi. i've tried smartripper, vobedit, and others, but all seem to have problems importing into Dvd Maestro or have different time code)

One thing i noticed is that when i was previewing the movie under DVD2AVI the stats window switches from interlace to progressive and back constantly. it was non-stop throughout the movie, so i'm pretty sure this has something to do with it. I've tried to use AC3 delay corrector to fix this, but it was no good. I'm completely stumped. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I may have the answer to the problem here. I just Demuxed the first VOB in this movie with Vobrator and ID1 is a blank pad that has an AC3 the is 35k and M2V that is only 6k. Looks like this would throw off the audio sync unless this ID is removed (they probably just make a call to ID2 for the begining point of the movie).

Not sure about this yet but I'm processing the files now. Let you know how it goes.

TADA!! It works!

After I removed the ID1 and reproccessed the files the sync problem is gone.

Hope this works for the rest of you too.
