I have a little quesion about quant 1.
I know that compression is very bad when his quant but it's nealy identical to the source.
I have a film which is very compressible because it very dark(1h47, 1pass size=505 MO with 576/240 unfiltered)
The whole film has an honorable quality but some parts are very noisy.
I wonder what it coud happen if I use quant 1 has a min in the quantizer tab.
Will the codec use quant1 type randomly (i.e when the bitrate reservoir is full (I don't know if it's called in that name, but you know what I mean) ) or will it use this quant type in parts which are hard to compress(i.e noisy part which look very blocky when compressed)

2nd solution:
Should i compress the noisy parts separatly at quant1(with a filter) and mixed with te first encode(unfilered with min quant=2)?
