Hi-

Please, next time make a more descriptive title and leave off the extra question marks. Also, unless I'm mistaken, this is a DivX3 or an XviD question, and not a DivX5 question. You can't open a log file in GKnot, can you? Can't you only open stats files?

Anyway-this is from Doom9's GKnot Guide (http://www.doom9.org/gknot.htm):

A dark gray line is a scene change, a light gray line a keyframe in the first pass (first frame or keyframe created
with an .ecf file), a dark purple line is a keyframe, a light purple line a keyframe on a scene change.
So, the answer to the question is that you'll knock out the keyframes not on scene changes, and if you go too long without one (20 seconds or so), the video quality may degrade. You can adjust the keyframe spacing to prevent that (say min=4 and max=450)
