I was an old VFAPI frameserv user who decided to take a second look to make sure he was getting the most out of encoding. After posting a few messages and reading some guides, I found that avisynth should frameserv faster. So I decided to give it a try.
One machine worked just great. My second (P4) machine crached CCE everytime I tried to load an AVS.
I found the reason. I was using DVD2AVI 1.76 on the machine that it worked on.
I was using AVI1.77.3 on the machine that it DIDN'T work on. Moved back to 1.76 and all is well again.
From what I can see, the settings were all the same between the versions, but I might have missed something. Either way, I'm now encoding without problem. Hope this helps.
