down grading firmware

I have a pioneer 104, I updated the firmware to 133 thinking it would let me burn at to 2 speed, but it won't. So I have since being looking into hacked firmware ver 1.2 and version 131, but it does n't seem to let me downgrade, is there a way round this? or do I just have to buy better media?. I am currently using vivastar media, which I am quite happy with except for the speed issue.
