:)
I finally found the Problem which leads to the bad
DVD-R Disk.
My standalone refuses to play this disk.

It`s in fact very simple. I don`t use the "DVD-Video" option
since this created my coasters. Instead i use the DVD-ROM(UDF)
Option and made the following settings :
no multisession
UDF Version 1.02
just keep in mind if you title the DVD keep the letters uppercase

and thats it.

after hitting the "Burn" Button
Nero sort the Vob Files the right way.

Et voila the first working DVD-R burned with Nero
(Version 5.5.9.14)
I am not sure but i try this also with Vob instant cd/DVD
it should work also.

Please can somebody verify my Settings

I do not use Nero, but it was the method used to successfully burn on 5.5.8.2

I just bough DVDburn from Derrow and will do some tests, as it use the Nero API.

Other people have suggested this method and it apparently works for them. It didn't work for me however, but apparently I'm no judge, as I have had a hard time with several different methods...

Thanks for postin it though, it was worth a shot.

Last night i tried to burn with Vob instant cd/dvd.
Since this Software also created Coasters if using
the DVD Movie Template.
As in Nero i used a UDF DATA Template and
unchecked the Joillet Settings.

And now this DVD-R works also great for me.

Yep....that's the Nero DVD selection I use.

I've been burning DVD backups for the past 2 months with nero 5590

I always chose the DVD_ROM/UDF selection.

I also make and drag a dummy "AUDIO_TS" folder to the burn before I drag over my "VIDEO_TS" folder.

Haven't had any problems with playback on standalones using this method, other that media related problems. I'm sticking to it till further notice.

Pioneer 104 1.33
Nero 5590
SmartRipper

I use to burn at NERO as DVD CD-ROM, no multissession, no joliet, and there becomes the big deal...it works fine in my MUSTEK 520, but nobody else can see my copied DVDs.
Very weird.
If i try to burn as DVD-VIDEO, instantly NERO gives me an error, and dont even caches the very first data.
Anybody have the same problem?
