hmmm, interesting or annoying

Took me about THREE weeks(AHH remember the days of just copying playstation games--good times) to get this whole ripping stripping encoding burning thing down, and I thought I was doing very well, well enough anyway. And now this, the last few disks I have made I ripped stripped -in one case reencoded to reduce size- got vts sectors, in one case created new ifo's made an image and burned with dvd decryptor..(as i have had no luck with nero).I do however use nero to burn a small text file on the end of the disk so I can finalize it, as it will not read in anything unfinalized. Could it be my setting in nero? I burn first to an +rw, then to +r. The +rw works in both my xbox and my standalone, but when I burn to +r it only works in my xbox. Exactly the opposite of other posts I have read. The first few I burned worked in both, now only the xbox, I get a no disk error in the stand alone ...I don't get it!! It's not a medium issue as I have tried on three different brands of disk, two of which I have used before succesfully.

Had the same with various burning tools except Gear DVD.
Except I just had A bad serie.. And move to imgtools+DVDdecrypter burning and it's OK now...

I expect a lot from the new derrow tool, DVDburn... I Keep you informed on the forum

so gear pro worked for you?? I have it and use it to format the dvd+rw, but I don't recall using it for much else... I'm gonna give it a shot now.
