Has anyone had any luck ripping the Band of Brothers DVD's? I have tried several times (using Gordian knot ), and nandub always returns an error after the first pass stating "incorrect frame count, impossible to recover". It detects about 5700 out of 131000 frames. Is this a new type of copy protection, or is there another way to rip other than following the basics from the doom9 guides. I have successfully ripped dozens of other dvd's and have never seen this happen before.

The error happens in Vdub, not nandub. Had a brain fart there for a minute.

Welcome to the forum.

You might want to copy and paste your Gknot.log file here, so that more information about your encoding is available. You might also want to post your .avs script also, leaving out the lines that begin with "#".

I was having the same problem last night with star wars episode 2.
After 3 failed attempts @ encoding, i deleted all files, ripped the dvd vob files again, and when i got home from work this morning, i had an excellent avi file waiting for me. At this moment Band of Brothers is encoding at a normal pace and (hopefully) will also be a success. I'm not really sure what was wrong, but with a fresh rip of all vob files, things are working normally again. was there a full moon or something that i missed:cool:
