I just frameserved permanent subs (using TextSub VirtualDub filter) via Avisynth (I could not frameserved directly from VirtualDub to TMPGEnc - I do not know why, simply TMPGEnc refused to load .avs or .avi) to TMPGEnc. I found that subs are some seconds ahead of the movie... What happend? How to synchronise movie and subs in frameserving...
Thanx

Are the subs off in Virtualdub also? if they are just load them into SubResync and modify your subs until they are in time and then encode them.

I just realized that probably the asynchro of subs was caused by the fact that DivX is in NTSC and I frameserved and coded it to PAL...

Sounds like he is trying the same as I am; transcoding an NTSC avi into a PAL SVCD with subs. In VD the subs are in synch, as the subs are for that format, during the conversion the subs are getting out of synch because of the framerate change. Now, how does one achieve this with correct synching? I've tried a load of tools, which claim to be able changing subtitle framerates, but every time the same prob arises; out of synch subs. Looks like nothing is happening...I use Avisynth...
any hints on sub framerate changing?

what does your avisynth script look like? I think it depends on where you place the sub command in avisynth. i discussed this issue once before let me search and find the thread. Bun in the mean time what does your avisynth script look like?
I found the two thread dealing with the issue..

You need to change framerate of SUB with SubAdjust.
Use Coefficient 1.0427 (25/23.976).
I used it and it worked fine.
