This is definately a newby question.... I noticed that dvd2svcd uses dvd2avi to produce d2v and d2s files, Can an actual avi be made during this process and stored along with the other video/audio files on your hd? It never ceases to amaze me all the good quality avi's that are around and have been downloaded. Is there a method to do this using the files created by dvd2svcd? Thanks

no you cannot do this...dvd2svcd can be used to take avi files and convert them to svcd...this is for things like compressing avi captures from tv, or converting a high quality divx to svcd.

I appreciate the reply... Isn't there a way I can use the files created by dvd2svcd to make an avi? Maybe the output files from dvd2avi? Could an Avi be created using another tool like VirtualDub using the output from dvd2svcd? maybe??? Gracious... :( :scared:

Nope. This is the wrong forum. This forum is for SVCD/VCD files made by DVD2SVCD only. We do not make Avi files here.

If you want to learn how to make AVI's read the guides on Doom9 or read up and post in the Divx forums.
