Hi, i have released my Encoder Pack now too. Please tell me your impressions, or if i missed a codec. You can donwload it here - should be a better dl-speed then on my old site.

Another encoder pack? Is this something the world really needs? I have never been a major fan of encoder packs. But it seems it is the "in" thing to do. Experienced people have their codecs archived for future use or know where they can get them from as needed. Newbs install everything at once often without needing it and with adverse system effects. The main thing encoder packs tend to do is suck up network bandwidth. People spend an hour or more downloading a file of many megabytes in size all for a 50Kb or smaller codec file. Nimo's pack or the Universal Codec Pack are prime examples. Has anyone taken the time to create a simple page where codecs of all types could be downloaded individually as needed?

Just a question.

EclipseDVD DivX/XviD pack looks nice, but cant speak french :)

i wanted to prevent newbies, before trashing there system with encoders they dont need, but want to hold the chance that everyone find his encoder there. so in the standard installation only MS Mpg4,
divx 311, divx502 pro and xvid are installed, and over the custom section you can choose more if you need, with a little description for every encoder.
and yes i have a lot of free time, so wanted to make an easy and userfriendly encoder and decoder pack.
and by the way:
Encoder pack includes 6,8 mb Encoders = my Encoder pack is 2,7 mb
Decoder pack includes 13,5 mb Decoders = my Decoder pack is 3,95 mb
so you see that i used the stong compression tool integrated in Ghost installer (which is the programm i used for the pack) which is more powerfull then winace.
only 200 kb are the installer itself.
