Frame size error during CCE stage

I am using DVD2SVCD 1.1.0 build 1 to encode a PAL movie. Using 1passVBR with a temporal smoother in the dvd2svcd.ini file. The program freeze at the CCE stage because an error message occurs "Frame size 844X56 is not supported. Supported frame size is 720X576". Now I know that 844X56 is not suported but I do not know where I have specified that frame size

Did you manually edit the AVS file? The bolded line is in there twice.

No I did not perform any manual interaction with the avs script. I wonder how it could have got in there twice. Is it then possible to just edit that line out of the script and continue?? I will try that anyway

You picked it absolutely right. The duplicated lines caused the problem. I had to manually edit the dvd2svcd.ini file to remove one of the "load" statements and now it runs. I think there might be a small bug in the program beacuse the first load statement must have been because I called for a smart deinterlace (so it loaded it automatically). The second load was from the additions that I made in the dvd2svcd.ini ie. the addition of temporal smoother and bicubic resize. Thanks for that and hopefully, this may help some other puzzled user

When you installed this version of DVD2SVCD did you do a complete un-install of the old version first?
Did you go to the Program Files directory and delete the DVD2SVCD directory before you installed this version?

When you started this encode was the target directory completely empty?

What I am getting at is maybe an old file got caught up and used.

I would completely uninstall DVD2SVCD, make sure to delete the directory and make sure the directory you are making your SVCD in is empty.

If this happens after you have done these things you can edit the AVS file by selecting edit avisynth file on the frameserve tab. Then simply remove the second instance of that line.

You are of course right. It could be the fact that I did not uninstalled the older version before installing the newer version. I will do that before my next rip. Hard to imagine DVD2SVCD missing something as obvious as that, but as I said in my last post, I overcome the problem by removing the "loadplugin" line in the DVD2SVCD.ini file. Then I did not need to manually intervene when the program was running

Hi,

I have been having this problem too, I uninstalled/re-installed about 3 times, before I realised that it is only happening when I use the "change cd" image file, when I leave it out of the equation
everything works fine. Sorry no log file as I emptied the whole folder and started again when I left out the "change cd" image, but it did have the extra Loadplugin line. I wasn't sure which parts to delete to get it working so started from sctratch. Have done about 5 backups since discovering this and all worked ok, did try again with "change cd" image file about 2 encodes ago and did the same thing. Never had this problem with previous version. Is anyoue else having this problem or is something screwy going on with my install.
