First of all I need to say Thank You to the creators of DVD2SVCD and the friendly people on this forum looking to help. When I first discovered the software, I started reading the forums for days and have learned a lot . I have created my first svcd and the results were stunning!

Now to my little problem, and I swear I've searched for this with all kinds of different keywords:

I want to rip the special features, one by one, and have an mpg file as the output to archive them on cd. Using DVD2SVCD I can have a cd image as the output, or deactivate that option. That's what I did. The files I get in the end are, among others, Encoded_Video.mpv, Pulldown_Encoded_Video.mpv, bbMPEG_Muxed_File00.mpg, and Encoded_audio_1.mp2. The 193MB mpg file is sound only.

I have tried different combinations of mixing mpv and mpg/mp2 together using TMPGEnc, but the mpg output never showed a video, it was always sound only.

My question therefore is, how do I get a movie MP(E)G file output using DVD2SVCD to encode?

Unless something went wrong the final video is the BBmpeg_Muxed_file??.mpg.

The mpv files are supposed to be video only. The mp2 is audio only. These get merged to become the final mpg.

Play the Pulldown_encoded.mpv file in WinDVD or PowerDVD is there is nothing there then something went wrong.

Play the ripped VOB files in PowerDVD or WinDVD and make sure they ripped correctly.

If none of this helps post your DVD2SVCD_Log.TXT file using cut and paste, don't attach it.

Mark, thank you for your time!

I used Winamp to play the BBmpeg_Muxed_file??.mpg, just because I play all videos with it and never had a problem. That's when the picture doesn't show. However, I loaded the same file in WinDVD and it's all there and complete. Although I don't know why, I now understand what's what and thank you very much for your help!

Happy Marie :)
