I have 2 800MB Mpeg-2 sVCD files and their respective .sub and .idx subtitle files.
How can I mux them together ?!?
I m totally confused as the only tools I found had to do with avi and subs...

You should be able to use winsubmux to mux the subtitles into your SVCD File, but if that doens't work:
the .sub/.idx file are bitmaps used for overlaying subtitles on a 720x480 DVD, you have a 480x480 SVCD file. You will need to rip a script out of them then use MaestroSBT to convert the script into .bmp's of the correct size for winsubmux.exe, a GUI that is used for inserting bitmaps. You can download MastroSBT from doom9, and use subrip to rip a script from your .sub/.idx(which is a direct copy of the files in your vob's...or you can load your vobs, doens't matter), just rename your .sub to .vob, and load that into subrip. Rip a script then convert it into .ssa, which is the format Maestro uses as its input to make bitmaps. But don't forget to check the script for errors because there wil always be some.

a shorter method you can also use Subresync that is bundled with vobsub to open your idx/sub files and then save them as Mastero and all those which it will output your BMP files. So you don't have to do that much conversion etc.

I think that he is trying to achieve the same as many of us; printing subs into an existing .mpg. Using the winsubmux method will result in a cvs or svcd softsubbed movie, which isn't supported by the most of the dvd-players. I havent found a tool supporting this feature yet. Shouldnt be too hard coding something like that, right?
