is it "bad" to check force FILM in DVD2AVI and then not use a field opperation? i preview it and i can't see a difference. Can i gain encoding time this way?

Hi-

I'll assume you're not in a PAL area because you'd never use Force Film anyway.

Are you talking about Video-Field Operation-None or Force Film? It's one or the other. You can't have them both checked.

And if I've misunderstood, please explain in more detail what you mean by then not using a field operation.

I was saying that i checked "force film" in DVD2AVI (its under video>fieldoperation>forced film" then. . . once i get it into gordian knot, i don;t do anything under its field operation. sorry about the confusion

correct, if you check force film, there is nothing left for you to do in the feild operation.

But you should always check to see if your movie is greater than 95% film or else it might come out bad.
