Here's the story, bought a buslink dvd+r/rw(it's actually a ricoh 5125) came with nero 5.5.9, blank dvdrw, neo dvd, and some other software. Bought fuji dvd+rw and 4 dvd+r's, also bought 5 pk verbatim dvd+r. Got smartripper, (dvddecryptor gave me tons of problems on xp), ifoedit, (had to revert to 0.91- the new one wouldn't create an ifo that would work even off the harddrive). Ripped Blade2 down to the movie and just the english audio stream, split it to 2 dvd's, no problem(after 3 weeks of 4 hours a day and tons of research) cna get the 2 movies to play off the harddrive. Burned with nero dvd video setting. Get an unsupported format error after burn. The dvd+rw's won't erase any more, erased them about 5 times each.
Currently have 7 coasters sitting here
(2 rw's that won't erase and 5 r's that are toast)

So I have it narrowed to :
a: my settings in nero are torqued
b: this burner is torqued

I have read in the range of 20 tutorials and am almost positive I have done everything right. What do you think?

I had the same problem when I got my new HP200i, I burnt with nero/HP dvd+rw's. Now my rw's won't erase and I doubt they ever will. The point is NERO is a decent cd burning utility, but when it come to dvd burning it SUX!!!! Try out gear pro it has been extremely stable for me causing only one coaster outa probably around 100 burns. Here is the link for gear pro:

And if you ever figure out how to erase your rw's please let me know cause I have 5 of em sitting here collecting dust.

I can't even get this drive to read a cd now, what is up with this, I'm taking it back before the exchange period runs out. I'll have to try a different one. Don't know what else to do..
